In response to requests to enhance the appearance and interest of an additional portion of land purchased by our client which lay in close proximity to his garden, CBA developed proposals, in conjunction with hydrologists at Penny Anderson Associates for a new lake and wetland scheme. As the site was situated on sandy soil the lake had to be lined with Bentomat and the water supplied via a new borehole. All soil had to be removed off site under the auspices of a waste exemption license obtained from the EA. Planning consent was obtained in 2007 and the project took 6 months to complete and is now fully established and includes a reed bed, an oak causeway and marginal planting.
