Chris Burnett BSc BLD CMLI
Chris Burnett has a degree in botany and geology from Sheffield University and a degree in Landscape Design from Manchester University. He is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute. He started the practice in 1985 and has since developed considerable experience in historic landscape conservation often leading teams which specialize in the conservation and restoration of historic estates. Skills include project management, often operating within tight budgetary and time constraints, visual assessment, photography, tree and woodland survey work, planning and environmental impact assessments. Outputs include Conservation Plans, Parkland Plans and Environmental Statements. Chris has also coordinated many studies which have resulted in several successful HLF bids. These include Tarn Hows and Silloth Green in Cumbria, Bosworth Battlefield and New Walk in Leicestershire, Astley Park in Lancashire and Eastwood Park in Chesterfield. He is also an experienced contract administrator and project manager and has successfully navigated many projects through the design phases to implementation on the ground. He has been a past monitor for the Heritage Lottery Fund.
John Dyke BSc MA MLI
John Dyke is a landscape architect specialising in historic landscape conservation and management. He has a Master’s degree in Landscape Design from the University of Sheffield and an MA in Conservation Studies from the Institute of Advanced Architectural Studies in York. He has worked on historic sites, conservation areas, registered parks and gardens and scheduled ancient monuments in Australia, Europe and the UK. Recent projects have included restoration management plans for historic parks, visual and landscape impact assessments, interpretation and audience development plans and conservation management plans for sites managed by local authority, the National Trust and private landowners. John has lead several successful Conservation Management Plan studies. John has been with CBA since 1994.
Jon Delf MSc FRES
Jon provides Chris Burnett Associates with technical support in GIS using MAPinfo and CAD. Jon works with OS basemaps, aerial photographs, databases topographic surveys and GPS tree survey information to construct maps and plans of large sites, which can be interrogated and interpreted in numerous ways. Jon constructs also detailed drawings including working drawings that form part of landscape contract and support for Landscape Masterplans. Jon is also a part time lecturer in environmental management and geography at Liverpool University. Jon has worked with CBA for over 10 years.
Clare Davies
Clare provides office and technical support to the team. She has experience in document preparation and editing, excel and various graphics packages. She has worked for CBA for over 7 years.
